I yearn to embark on this spiritual journey with you! Through yoga classes, spiritual retreats and personal development workshops we can delve into the depths of our minds, forge deep connections with our emotions, heal our inner wounds, and nurture our bodies. As we travel this vast and beautiful world, we'll uncover the mysteries of existence and embrace the boundless wonders that life has to offer.
From a young age in Cali, Colombia, I grappled with existential questions that neither logic nor the prevailing religious doctrines could answer. During my teenage years, I began exploring Eastern religions and practices, though access to such information in Colombia during the 1980s was limited. It was not until I relocated to the United States that I gradually discovered and educated myself in various spiritual practices and philosophies, opening up a new world of understanding.
Through extensive reading, yoga classes, travels, and a profound desire to alleviate my own suffering, I embarked on strict silent retreats, pilgrimages in the Himalayas, visits to Buddhist monasteries in Asia, and journeys to mountains and volcanoes in Central and South America. My quest culminated in India, where I had the privilege of studying yoga in its traditional form, as it has been taught in the northern part of the country for millennia.
Upon receiving my yoga training certification, I felt a strong desire to share my knowledge. This led me to teach yoga classes, participate in spiritual retreats, and eventually establish Yoga Sutras with Angela. Driven by my curiosity and thirst for self-awareness, I furthered my education at the Personal Development School, becoming a certified coach.
The integration of these diverse practices, along with my passion for vegan cooking, forms the foundation of my holistic approach to wellness
Through my yoga classes and the retreats that I will be leading in different parts of the world, I seek to create an experience that can expand our knowledge of what it is to be human, the way we should take care of our bodies and how to obtain liberation from the bounds of our minds.
Meditation, yoga and traveling the world have been tools that have helped me discover who I am behind my personality. They have also shown me that there is access to a well of peace, and connection to myself and others when I become quiet and I see the world with new eyes.
As a trained Chef de cuisine from Le Cordon Bleu, food and cooking have always been a very important part of my daily life.
I switched my diet to a vegan diet for ethical, environmental, and health reasons. I believe that veganism is the best way to respect animals, protect the planet, and improve our well-being. Veganism has changed my life for the better in so many ways. It has improved my physical health, mental clarity, energy levels, and mood. It has also opened my eyes to the beauty and diversity of plant-based foods. I love sharing my passion for veganism with others and helping them discover the benefits of this lifestyle.
Becoming a personal development coach was a natural progression for me. I first embarked on this journey because I was desperate to find explanations to the patterns and behaviors that created self-sabotage, undermined my goals and caused me so much suffering.
Witnessing the transformative power of personal growth in my own life inspired me to guide others on their journeys. I thrive on seeing people overcome challenges, gain confidence, and realize their dreams. It's incredibly fulfilling to be a part of someone's journey towards self-improvement and success. This path allows me to combine my love for learning, empathy, and desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
